Export Team Leader

Permanent part-time position (Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day)

A newly created vacancy has become available in the Export Documentation team to lead and facilitate the efficient and accurate processing of export orders.  This role is suitable for a highly organised and engaging leader who enjoys motivating and training others in a highly structured and detail-oriented environment.  

Primary Objectives:

• Lead a team of export documentation officers to ensure all documentation is accurate, complete and compliant with the Dept of Agriculture (DAFF) and other related regulations. 
• Maintain an understanding of export DAFF requirements and international trade regulations and stay up to date on regulatory changes.
• Train, motivate and guide export officers on documentation protocols and address performance issues promptly and constructively.
• Delegate tasks effectively and monitor individual progress against task completion.
• Implement quality control measures, continuous improvement and appropriate technology to optimise workload and minimise errors.
• Build strong relationships with clients and proactively address their enquiries and concerns to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise communication channels and relationships. 

Reporting to the Export Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the following:

• Team leadership and managing performance.
• Quality, accuracy and efficiency.
• Time and task management (delegation).
• Team building.
• Customer relations and service delivery.
• Continuous improvement.

The successful person will need to possess the following:

• Experience in export documentation, preferably for export to Asia (e.g. China, Japan, Korea). 
• Strong leadership and training skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Good understanding of computer-based document processing systems.
• Good planning and organising skills. 
• Continuous improvement implementation. 

Relevant ongoing training will be provided to the successful candidate along with financial incentives based on performance against KPIs.
