AddressAs a Graduate/Junior Geologist, you’ll play a vital role in our exploration team at the Jervois Operations site in the Northern Territory. Your work will contribute to safe and efficient geological activities, ultimately leading to the discovery of mineral deposits. To be successful in this role, you will:
- Reside in Alice Springs (preferred), Darwin or Adelaide.
- Have previous experience in the field of Geology.
- Relevant Tertiary Degree with a minimum three (3) year degree in Geology or Geophysics, MSc.
- Possess a valid, unrestricted Australian driver’s license.
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Proficiency in using geological software, such as Leapfrog Geo, Micromine, and GIS, or at least familiarity with one of these software applications.
As a Graduate Geologist, you will be expected to:
- Proactively contribute to the company’s safety policies, practices, and procedures in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements to ensure safe operation of exploration and geological activities on the Jervois site.
- Ensure all geology activities are undertaken in a culturally sensitive manner and in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assist the Geologists with geophysical surveys, geochemical surveys, and geology logistics.
- Assist with all on-site geology activities, including drill planning, core sampling, and logging.
- Conduct exploration field work as directed.
