We are interested to hear from Project Directors currently residing in Melbourne and Brisbane. You will play a pivotal role in leading and managing all aspects of an energy project, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. This leadership position requires a strategic mindset, strong project management skills, and effective communication abilities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Project Planning and Initiation: 

• Lead the development of comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and establish clear project goals. 

• Conduct risk assessments to anticipate and address potential challenges. 

Team Leadership and Management: 

• Build and lead a high-performing project team, ensuring optimal resource allocation. 

• Motivate and guide team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment. 

• Provide direction and support to project staff, addressing challenges and promoting a positive team culture. 

Budgeting and Financial Management: 

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met. 

• Monitor project expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary. 

• Collaborate closely with finance and accounting teams to maintain accurate financial records. 

Stakeholder Communication: 

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Communicate project status, risks, and milestones effectively and transparently. 

• Address stakeholder concerns and expectations to ensure alignment with project objectives. 

Risk Management: 

• Identify potential risks and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies. 

• Implement robust risk management plans to minimize the impact of uncertainties on project outcomes. 

• Continuously monitor and evaluate risk factors throughout the project lifecycle. 

Quality Assurance: 

• Develop and implement quality assurance processes to uphold project deliverables to the highest standards. 

• Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress and identify opportunities for improvement. 

• Implement best practices to enhance overall project quality and efficiency. 

Reporting and Documentation: 

• Prepare and deliver regular project reports to executive leadership and key stakeholders. 

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, and relevant artifacts. 

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards. 

Continuous Improvement: 

• Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains. 

• Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the project team. 

Skills & Experience Required: 

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 

• Proven experience as a Project Director or a similar senior project management role within one of the following industries - green hydrogen, ammonia, decarbonisation or LNG. 

• Strong leadership and team management skills. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 

• Solid understanding of project management methodologies. 

• Proficiency in project management tools and software. 

• Ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

• Certification in project management is desirable.
