  • Full-time & part-time salary - $78,564 - $111,391 per annum
  • Drummond Street campus – Victoria's Tunnelling Centre – only facility of its type in Australia

THE OPPORTUNITIES

Hourly Rate (Casual): $82.01 - $88.60 per hour (dependant on qualifications)
Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: casual, part-time & full-time.       
Location: Drummond Street campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.

Come and join Holmesglen's Civil, Safety & Industrial Skills department as a trainer, make the transition from trade to trainer.

Holmesglen’s Drummond street campus is a new, and world class training facility serving blue chip clients in tunnelling, civil construction, manufacturing and transport. We have experienced significant recent growth in our training delivery after great investment in the campus by a supportive leadership team and have a solid long term pipeline of work ahead of us. We have a well maintained fleet of mobile plant and training equipment, and high quality training equipment ranging from a four movement gantry crane to ground breaking augmented reality products.

Holmesglen values their employees and offers professional development through providing time for our trainers to broaden their training scope, build their skills in using educational technology, or achieve valuable industry accreditations such as high risk work licence assessor.

LOOKING FOR TRAINERS WITH THE FOLLOWING:

  • General – Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid.
  • High Risk Work – Scaffolding, Dogging, Rigging, Cranes.
  • Traffic Control and Management.
  • Safety and Environmental Management.
  • Other - White Card.

ABOUT YOU

  • Hold relevant qualifications, tickets, licenses for the above, with scaffolding or civil tunnelling experience highly desired.
  • Hold a certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualification) or working towards or willing to obtain.
  • Possess an understanding of industry standards and practices, demonstrating effective communication skills to engage students of varying skill levels.
  • Can create an engaging atmosphere that encourages active participation and motivation in learners.
  • Uphold a commitment to safety, professionalism, and inspiring students to excel through innovation and adaptability.
