Position Summary:

Unidex Recruitment are urgently seeking Expressions of Interest in Casual Contract Opportunities for Registered Nurses, located in Tasmania.experienced Registered Nurses-(Medical) for our client based in Tasmania. You will be required to work in various departments such as ICU, Medical Ward, ED, EMU, AMU, and the Outpatients, and will be required to work various shift patterns, such as:
- Day Shift - between 7am and 6pm
- Afternoon Shift - between 6pm and at or before midnight
- Night Shift - between the hours of midnight and 8am
- Saturday Shift - A day/afternoon/night shift that falls on a Saturday. To constitute a Saturday shift, the majority of a night shift must fall on a Saturday.
- Sunday Shift - A day/afternoon/night shift that falls on a Sunday. To constitute a Sunday shift, the majority of a night shift must fall on a Sunday.
- Public Holiday Shift - A day/afternoon/night shift that falls on a Public Holiday that is recognised by the Site where the services are being provided. To constitute a Public Holiday shift, the majority of a night shift must fall on a Public Holiday.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, and ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. All nurses should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Australia in acute settings.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Ward.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Provide wound care and other forms of nursing care as needed.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and the ability to maintain a sterile environment.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA Registration.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an acute hospital setting, ideally in a medical ward.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of medical ward procedures.
- Current flu and covid - 19 vaccinations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 2 recent referees must be provided.
