External Audit Senior Manager

About The Opportunity:
Our client is one of the fastest growing firms in Australia, with offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne! Located in the CBD, the Brisbane office boasts an exceptional working culture, putting employees first and focusing on employee satisfaction.
Due to growth, they are now seeking an experienced External Audit Manager with the capability of managing all parts of the audit process for national and global clients.
This position would suit an experienced Senior Manager or a Manager keen to step up into the next level.

Core Duties:
This role offers a structured career path where you will work with a diverse range of clients from all industries, but particularly mining, resources, primary production, construction and financial services. You will work in a close-knit team and be exposed to all aspects of the audit process:

• The planning, preparation and execution of External audits whilst leading and managing teams of junior staff providing on the job training and performance reviews.
• The preparation and review of financial statement and analysis and documentation of internal controls and control environments.
• You will be involved in all aspects of audit and statutory reporting and providing advice to clients on issues faced in relation to reporting.
• Other key deliverables are day to day management of clients, address client requests for assistance on a timely basis and keeping the lead Partner informed of progress on the engagement and be alert to potential problem areas or budget difficulties.

About You:

• Australian External Auditing experience as a Senior Manager or Manager wanting to step up
• Mid-tier, 2nd-tier or Big 4 accounting firm experience
• Completed CA or CPA program
• Be willing to travel around Queensland for client work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
