Description
The External Fulfillment (EF) City Manager works with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve timely launches of vendor sites and on-going operations metrics. With customer obsession and a high sense of ownership, they will utilize their skills to identify patterns and any potential disruptions. They should be able to dive deep, scrutinize details and foresee data implications. They may be required to be flexible with hours to accommodate vendor schedules and regional meetings, and to travel locally and nationally to sites for launch, set up & monitor operations.
As a key part of the EF and broader Supply Chain team, they'll also be tasked with supporting programs around 3rd Party Logistics (3PL), heavy bulky products (such as TVs, outdoor furniture, etc) and other projects within our FC network. Tasks and responsibilities:
Documentation & Training:
· Trains & directs 3PL associates/Team leads on the standard operating procedures on the Amazon warehouse management system (WMS), daily end-of-shift reports, weekly business review templates and other adhoc reports.
· Prepares documentation on outbound pallets compliance to ensure that the 3PL site adheres to Amazon's safety standards and requirements
· Provides training to 3PL staff on Amazon systems and tools from time to time (if required)
Planning & Operations:
· Monitors overall high-level operations of the assigned 3PL both physically and in the system (WMS); and suggests improvements to the site leadership.
· Identifies useful data accumulated from multiple sources and take necessary actions to eliminate defects and improve performance
· Foresees implications based on current data and trends and provides recommendations to the site leadership
· Be organized, apt and prompt in notifying the situation, problem solve and recur prevention
· Audits the 3PL site for various operational conformances, restrictions and norms Conducts 3PL audits on SOPs, analyse data and propose features focusing on improving the Seller experience
Communication & Stakeholder Management:
· Serves as a liaison between the internal and external (3PL) stakeholders keeping in mind the objectives, limits, conformance and information privacy
· Actively participate in the weekly business reviews with the 3PL leadership and internal stakeholders, identify any patterns/ non-conformance and own action plan to ensure timely implementation.
· Works closely with internal stakeholders such as Transport, Planning & Capacity teams to align on weekly planning and cascade the same to the 3PL
· Maintains strong tactical relationship with the 3PL teams to ensure the daily plans are implemented and no Amazon customer packages are left behind at the 3PL site (0 misses)
· Acts as the first Amazon point of contact for the 3PL for any escalations, call-outs or assistance
Profile
Basic Qualifications
* Minimum 1 Year Logistics/Warehouse Operations Experience Required.
* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in procurement or purchasing, especially in a logistics or warehouse setting, is preferred.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Pay rate: $32.30
Hours: Mon- Friday 8:30 - 17:00 (OT available and weekend shifts during Peak period)
