The Role
You will run our small fabrication shop as an integrated part of our manufacturing team.
You will run this shop like it is your own - leading the team, managing the work, hit production targets, fixing problems, and always trying to make the process better. You will start with an initial team of five, although we expect this to grow as our production volume keeps growing.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead small fabrication team (5 person)
- Run small fabrication shop (job allocation, tracking, results)
- Fabricate metal parts (‘on the tools’ player/coach role)
- Ensure team works safely (‘everyone goes home safe everyday’)
- Ensure quality work (incl coordinate NDE/NDT where required)
- Manage fabrication equipment & consumables (incl upgrades if required)
- Troubleshoot & fix issues (incl escalate if required)
- Identify improvements & implement (with engineering support)
- Recruit, train and develop team (with HR support)
We are expanding our Salisbury facility in the next 12 months and have a strong focus on investing in the right equipment and developing our team and processes to achieve outstanding results.

About You

You will need the following experience:
- Trade-qualified fabricator or boilermaker (capable of supervising apprentices)
- Experience operating full range of fabrication equipment (welder, lathe, plasma, roller, drill press, etc)
- Experience running small-medium sized fabrication teams (ideally workshop based)
- Ideally - pipe spool fabrication experience (including AS4041/AS3992 and/or ASME B31.3/ASME IX).
