SalaryUGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business are looking for a Fabrication Tradesperson to join the locomotive build team based at our operation in Broadmeadow, Newcastle NSW.These roles will be offered on full time permanent basis and under UGLs Newcastle Operations Enterprise Agreement working Monday – Friday from 5.30am – 2.30pm on a 9 day fortnight, with every second Friday off.About the roleReporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on new build fabrication and assembly of locomotive frames, structures and pipe weld arrangements as well as general fabrication and workshop duties as required.About You· Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency – Metal Trades· Ability to Interpret Engineering Drawings· Dogging/Rigging tickets preferred· Experience with GTAW to Ultrasonic quality· TIG Welding exposure· MPI Level/ UT level 2 preferred· Ability to work to a fast paced production schedule· Good communication skills· Ability to work in a team environmentWhat makes you right for UGL· Ability to provide a safe, supportive and positive workplace· Empower a united and collaborative culture· Deliver technical excellence and create efficient, innovative solutions· Build an enviable reputation and the trust of employees, clients and other stakeholders· Genuine concern for safetyAbout UsUGL is a well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within; rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
