About the OPPORTUNITYWe have an opportunity for a
Facilities Electrician to join our team based at our Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.As a Site Maintenance Electrical Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of the shipyard facilities to satisfy the legislative and project requirements.The role is principally one of Temporary services support for Production which includes installation of Temp lighting, Power, extraction, manual call points etc , for the ship and Block construction to ensure Quality and technical standards are met.
Key responsibilities include:- Ensure that quality and technical standards are met or exceeded
- Apply Electrical trade knowledge , techniques and skills to all aspects of the shipyard
- Ensure the timely achievement of specified goals and objectives
- Ensure all work is executed in accordance with company processes, procedures and instructions
About YOU- Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (essential).
- Appropriate Electrical licencing for the equipment used within the shipyard
- Diagnostic/fault finding and problem solving skills
- Cert IV Trade based qualifications in Electrical/Electronic or Equivalent.
