About the Role:
Centrally located in Capalaba, an opportunity has opened for a carpentry FACTORY LABOURER who is looking for a role that provides training and skills development that will lead to a stable long-term career.
The position will ideally suit someone who enjoys working with their hands and not scared of a solid day’s work. Carpentry and/or construction industry experience will be a significant advantage – but is not essential.
You will play an important role in carrying out various supporting tasks in the factory that will assist factory production to be completed safely, on time and on budget.
The successful applicant will be part of a friendly and motivated team. We encourage and invite all who are interested, to apply.

Duties will include:
- Cleaning & tidying the factory
- Handling and moving raw materials around the factory
- Using power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual tasks (e.g. cutting, sanding, gluing, stacking timber and components)
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- General factory tasks
Skills and Requirements for the role:
- Reliability. Pitch up on time every time.
- Ability to follow instructions
- Commitment to safety in the workplace
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 30 kgs etc.)
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Experience with wood machinery and power tools would be an advantage but not essential
- Honest and hardworking
- Willingness to learn and grow through constructive feedback.
- Ability to work under pressure as a team member & autonomously.
- Must have a current QLD drivers’ licence with a clean record.
