We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Faculty Business Operations Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing operational and administrative functions for the Faculty Office and the Faculty’s research institutes, CHIRI and enAble.
  
You should possess strong planning and problem solving skills, be process driven, demonstrate initiative, be able to motivate a small team to deliver high quality service and have the ability to partner with internal and external service providers to achieve quick and positive outcomes.

In this role, you will (but are not limited to):

  • Manage day-to-day Business Operations of assigned areas.
  • Liaise with University service functions to facilitate administrative activities.
  • Developing and refining internal processes integrating continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate specific projects as assigned.
  • Support GM, Faculty Deans, and Directors with preparation of briefing papers, reports, etc.
  • Provide executive support to Faculty committees and working parties.
  • Manage operational budgets and reporting.
  • Facilitate Faculty-wide communications
  • Provide leadership and management of staff in the administrative pool.
  • Coordinate efficient use of staffing resources.
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with senior staff within the Faculty’s schools and centres.

Selection Criteria
  1. Completion of a degree with considerable relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in an administrative field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  2. Demonstrated planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic and complex environment.
  3. Demonstrated staff management skills with the ability to conduct effective work planning and performance review discussions and to foster a work environment of high achievement, continuous improvement, and job satisfaction.
  4. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively consult with a wide range of stakeholders on a range of matters and in a professional and confident manner.
  5. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to offer solutions to complex problems.
  6. Demonstrated understanding of financial and budget management.
  7. Demonstrated high-level written communication skills with the ability to prepare high quality reports, briefing papers, and correspondence
Desirable Criteria
  • Previous experience in within the higher education sector.
