Job Description: Our client, a family-owned and operated dryland cropping and cattle enterprise based near Moonie in QLD, is looking for a Farm Hand to join their team. You will operate a wide range of modern machinery equipped with Greenstar GPS. Various types of machinery will be used, including tractors, self-propelled and tow-behind camera sprayers, precision planters, augers and chaser bins. Duties will include but are not limited to spraying, cultivating, planting, harvesting, and cattle processing. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic, initiative, and a willingness to get involved. Candidates with previous experience in a similar position, mechanical aptitude, and welding skills will be highly regarded. This position is full-time and ideally would suit a young family looking to join a small rural community. Moonie is a short distance away and has a local pub, sports club and swimming pool. Moonie State School is a great small school that caters to year six.
You can choose accommodation either in Moonie township or on the farm. Accommodation in Moonie is a renovated three-bedroom house with reverse cycle air-conditioning, or on-farm accommodation, a five-bedroom three-bathroom homestead with two fireplaces and evaporative air conditioning. Also, there is a beautiful garden that has been established. In addition, there is a chook pen and room for a couple of horses.
