We have a permanent opportunity for a Field Construction Officer to join our team located in Kingaroy.
About the role:
The Field Construction Officer is a skilled and competent electrical tradesperson who:
  • Performs a pivotal role in supporting the work group from a technical and work planning perspective, i.e. planning and organising pre-construction activities.
  • Provides in-field technical support to ensure work is undertaken in an effective and efficient way.
  • Utilises high level trade skills to undertake or lead field-based construction work.
  • Participates in an on-call / standby roster.
About you:
Critical to your success in the role is your:
  • Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certification of Competency as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic and/or Electrical Linesperson, or Electrical Supply Industry Technical Serviceperson or Electrical Jointer.
  • Knowledge of Electricity Act and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety Act, Environmental Act and other relevant legislation, especially the Electricity Act 2002 Code of Practice for Working Near Exposed Parts and its practical application to the Energex & Ergon network.
  • Understanding of electricity distribution, including design, construction, maintenance and operation of underground and overhead mains and equipment.
You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.

Remuneration:
  • From $116,201 per annum + 12.75% Superannuation.
