Job Summary The Field Enhanced - Installer Repairer Specialist is key to delivering end-to-end installation of Telstra’s telecommunications networks. As part of Field Services, your mission will be to meet the critical needs of both our Australian and international business and government customers. Deliver disruptive products, platforms and services with our unique Telstra IP, by leveraging our targeted value propositions and world-class customer relationships.

This role requires the successful candidate to be vaccinated against Covid-19, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our people and customers. However, please speak to us if you have any questions about this based on your individual circumstances.

What you'll do

Work without immediate supervision or direction, work in a fast-paced team that provides our customer with a great experience by installing & activating telecommunications / technology products and services. The role will apply advanced activation techniques to ensure all customers have a great experience.

Working on the customers ICT environment that includes Defence’s Juniper ICT network, wireless technology, Skype of business voice, Video conferencing and passive infrastructure (Fibre and copper).

Managing workload within the project completion timeframes

Working individually or with other teams to deliver service requests that meet the customers’ requirements.

Updating documentation during changes such as cable solve or MDF record books to maintain accuracy of the ICT environment.

Maintain and report the security of the ICT environment.

Provide reporting or escalation to the Project Specialist.

Provide input into and maintain technical and or Procedural documentation.

Maintain adequate operational tools, materials, equipment, and products to maximise efficiency.

Ensure complete, accurate and timely entry of timesheets, job transaction records and site survey requirements.

Installation of structured cabling networks within customer environment Structured cabling Cat5, Cat, voice Cabling & patching, WiFi Access point Installation & Video Conferencing & Digital Media structured cabling and installation.

What you need to succeed

Holder of a minimum Baseline and be willing and capable to undergo Clearance to NV1 level. Be conscious of and compliant with strict Security requirements procedures.

Highly capable in general PC applications and hardware.

Customer Service Skills, with good negotiation and facilitation skills

Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

Organisational skills and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to work autonomously and to work under tight timeframes and deadlines to deliver required outcomes.

Understanding of HSE practices

The ability to work with multiple and sometimes competing requirements across several domains such as Security, HSE, Workflow and Customer.
