About the Role:
We now have the opportunity for a full-time Field Operator/ Vegetation Worker to fill the following roles:
• Herbicide Application
• Grounds maintenance (mowing, brush cutting, power pruner)
• Basic Tree Work (Chipper Operators/Ground crew)
• Machine Operators (Mower/Tractor)
Skills & Qualifications:
We are looking for an applicant who possess a variety of skills to join our team working out of our Cameron Park (Newcastle) depot. This role would see the successful candidate having some or all of the below listed skills or qualifications:
• General Construction Safety White Card – essential
• Drivers licence - essential
• Trained in the Use of Chainsaws and associated equipment
• Heavy Vehicle Truck licence (HR or MR) – highly regarded
• EWP licence – highly regarded
• RISI/RIW Rail Card – highly regarded
• Chemical Accreditation highly regarded
Previous industry experience is desired but not essential.
With contracts across NSW there will be a need to work away during some periods on work swings – Please consider this before applying for the role.
About you:
• Highly safety conscious
• Highly motivated, with a positive attitude & able to work as part of a team
• Confident around machinery and be willing to undertake additional roles
• Experience and skills in grounds maintenance and associated plant and equipment, including excavators & skid steers, tractors/slashers
• Ability to pass any pre-employment physical, drug, and alcohol testing and rail medical
