About the role
All-round experience is preferred including light and heavy fabrications and 2 years mine site experience will be highly regarded for mine site positions.
An attractive hourly rate is offered plus overtime and site allowances with a variety of rosters available.
The positions involve working on mine sites, fabricating and completing various repairs on heavy mining equipment as well as offsite light and heavy welding and fabrication e.g. new builds, refurbishing truck bodies, bucket, blade and chassis repairs, and light fab - building platforms, ladders, walkways, guard rails etc.
Skills and experience
Skills required:
Qualified boilermaker/welder
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting
Able to follow instructions and show initiative
Well-presented and professional
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to WHS
Mine site experience essential
Confined spaces training
Recent pre-employment medical
MDG25 preferred
MR and forklift licences are desirable
