The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a join our Networks team in Thomastown VIC on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Field Delivery Team Lead, you will be responsible for project delivery in the field in accordance with health, safety and environment requirements, quality, technical compliance, and APA work practice consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor and provide technical support to field delivery personnel and contractors to ensure successful delivery of projects
- Implement operational initiatives and procedural changes
- Identifying project delivery risks in accordance with project delivery frameworks
- Supporting the Project Manager in preparing accurate project cost estimates
- Ensuring project delivery in accordance with APA Policies and Procedures
- Reporting HSE, quality matters and non-compliance of work practices ensuring they are produced in the required timelines
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualification or trade certifications in a related field
- Experience working within a supervisory position within the gas industry (preferably in operations and maintenance)
- Demonstrated understanding of gas network operations procedures
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
About the Team
Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
