Our Opportunity
Title: Field Technician - Geotech
Work location: Iron Bridge
Roster: 8 days on & 6 days off, FIFO ex Perth
An opportunity exists for an experienced Mining Geotechnician to join our Mine Geotech team at Iron Bridge.
Key Responsibilities
Complete daily geotechnical monitoring health review that includes Prism, Radar, VWP, GPS, etc.
Ensure geotechnical instruments around the pit are secured/removed from blasting and re-installation/deployment.
Complete the required monitoring installation around the pit, tailing.
Complete tailings data collections, monitoring maintenance and arrange calibration.
Operate Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle System (drone) for geotechnical inspection data collection
Assist geotechnical engineer in geotechnical hazard management
Qualifications and Experience
Experience in a similar role in open pit mining geotech is advantageous.
Manual C Class Driver's License
Proactive, highly motivated and enthusiastic. Willing to take on new challenges, work in a physically demanding job and learn new skills.
A team player with a 'can do' and collaborative attitude
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and capable of building strong multi-departmental relationships
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
High attention to detail
