Form of workWe are currently seeking multiple Field Technician roles in Mackay & Rockhampton in the telecommunications industry. Seeking experienced Field Technicians within NBN / Telecommunications based in Victoria with strong background in fibre splicing is very favourable. The primary purpose of the position and the teams will be engaged in jointing/splicing activities and may supervise the work of less senior jointers/splicers internal or external.
You will be provided with:Comepetitive weekly pay38 Hour week. RDO once per month & Attractive EBA and Allowances. Career Progression and ongoing trainingPhone / iPad / ComputerAll required tools and test equipmentVehicle, based on experience Key Duties:Undertakes jointing/splicing activities as required by Supervisor / Team Leader.
Undertakes fault location and restoration using electronic location and testing equipment OTDR AND PON, Viavi. The ability to use ribbon and single splice machine. Coaches any less experienced jointers/splicers to enhance competence and skills, Internal / External.
