AddressDue to lots of long-term project activity happening in the Goldfields & continued growth, Hughes Engineering are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Blaster - Painter / UHP Operator for Site Based Projects & Workshop Blasting & Painting in Kalgoorlie and the surrounding Goldfields Region.
This position is ideally suited to someone with experience in industrial painting and abrasive blasting, however we are open to applications from candidates who have a very strong automotive painting background and looking to expand their knowledge and learn new skills in an Industrial application.

We're locally owned & operated, based in Kalgoorlie - Boulder with a strong emphasis on project scope of work deliverables, including tank refurbishments & new builds, structural steel remediation programs, steel fabrication & welding, fixed plant maintenance & repairs, construction; asset protection (Industrial Coatings Division) as well as workshop fabrication offering a huge variety in the scope of works we deliver.

What's Required
Qualifications, Tickets & Licenses, Experience
- Have suitable experience and understanding of the role and to be able to clearly demonstrate your skills and knowledge. Please note, if you are applying for this position from an automotive background, a solid level of experience is required.
- National Police Clearance (must be able to clear site approval for multiple Tier 1 Gold Mining Sites)
- Working at Heights Certification < 2 Years
- Confined Space Certification < 2 Years
- GAS Testing Certification “preferred”
- White Card Construction
- High Risk License (LF, EWP)
- Ultra-High Pressure Water Blasting “UHP” Operator Ticket “preferred”
- Driver's License
- Ability to pass a Full Pre-Employment medical.
