FIFO Electrician - Olympic Dam

As our continued growth opens up new possibilities our client a leading building and construction company based in Olympic Dam with a pipeline of work until 2025 are seeking experienced and qualified electricians to join their project team. 

Position Overview:

We are currently looking for skilled electricians & Intstrumentation Technicians with a minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience to assist Brownfield upgrade projects on existing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy industrial/minesite projects, demonstrating proficiency in working with terminations, cable ladders and trays, pulling cable, and the ability to interpret drawings and schematics.

Interstate applicants are responsible for their transportation to and from Adelaide at the beginning and end of their work swing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Work with terminations, cable ladders, and trays to ensure efficient and effective electrical systems.
• Pull and route electrical cables, and troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Interpret and follow electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects within deadlines.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience as an electrician.
• Strong expertise in terminations, cable ladders and trays, and cable pulling.
• Proficient in interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with construction and/or heavy industrial projects.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. 

Requirements:

• Construction Industry White Card
• Valid South Australian PGE licence - non negotiable. 
• Current LVR/CPR.
• Working at Heights (within the last 4 years). 
• HRWL - WP 
• Knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations.
• Valid Drivers Licence 

Interstate applicants are responsible for their transportation to and from Adelaide at the beginning and end of their work swing. The opportunity offers flexibility with multiple roster options, including 9 days ON, 5 days OFF, 7/7, or 14/7 rotations. Compensation is competitive, starting at $57.47 per hour.
