FIFO SHUTDOWN Belt Splicers

THE ROLE:Collar is excited to share various ongoing shutdown opportunities for Belt Splicers in their collaboration with a global leader in conveyor maintenance.As a Level 2 or Level 3 bel splicer, you will be working across a variety of minerals and energy mine sites in Western Australia.A labour intensive rate, your main duties will include: Inspecting, operating, maintaining, repairing and replacing components of conveyor belt systems including roller frames, hard and soft skirts, conveyor belt tracking units, lough blades and and chutes Handling conveyor belt handling equipment such as steel, fabric and woven cords Installation and splicing of conveyor belts Operating conveyor vulcanising and belt handling equipment Preparation of conveyor belt for splicing, and application of various splicing techniques, including lap, finger, and cable Belt Splicers BENEFITS: $57.50/hr – $60/hr depending on experience Work-life balance supported with the flexibility to choose your own swings and schedule Weekly pay guaranteed Super paid for all worked hours Assistance with any outstanding inductions Continued support from Collar - care package before going to site, regular communication with your consultant and 24/7 access to Employee Assistance Program Accommodation, meals and flights to site from Perth covered PPE supplied REQUIREMENTS: Must have prior experience in a similar role and knowledgeable in roller changeouts, skirt replacement and conveyor belt systems Valid Australian driver's licence Confined Spaces (within 2 years) Working at Heights (within 2 years) Fire training (preferred) Gas Test Atmospheres (preferred) National Police Clearance Certificate with 12 months (preferred) Ability to complete a full PEM and Drug & Alcohol screen ABOUT THE COMPANY:Collar has been recognised by APAC Business Awards as the Recruitment Agency of the Year 2023 - Australia and the APAC Insider Excellence Award for Mental Health Support 2023.
