AddressHall Pacific, a leading civil, marine, and dredging contractor in the Pacific Islands, is seeking Dredge Operators who are residing in Fiji to join a newly awarded project in Ba River. This is an opportunity for you to develop your skills with Fiji’s premier marine and dredging contractor. As a Dredge Operator you will play a significant role in the safe and efficient operation of the company's cutter suction dredge. The project is estimated to go for 7 to 9 months with day and night shifts as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dredging of built-up sands and sediments at the Ba River mouth.
- Overseeing and adjusting dredging controls for efficient operations.
- Maintain dredge availability to meet or exceed planned efficiency goals.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required e.g. maintenance, break down assistance.
- Maximizing production whilst maintaining a safe work environment
- Performing duties in line with OH&S standards
- Actively participating as an integral member of the team.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience working as a Dredge Operator on Cutter Suction Dredges.
- Relevant marine qualifications (Coxswain ticket or higher is desirable)
- Experience working on Marine projects.
- You are highly motivated, production-focused, and willing to be involved in all aspects of the dredging operations.
- Effective communication skills and leadership qualities.
