About the role:
We are hiring Film and Video Editor to work at the Sandy Bay Centre campus located in Hobart, Tasmania. This role requires you to work full-time at a normal 38 hour week.
You will be required but limited to perform the following:
- Collaborate with marketing teams and college departments to conceptualize and script videos that effectively convey the college's strengths and appeal to diverse audiences.
- Oversee the filming process, ensuring high-quality visuals and sound. This may involve working with professional videographers or using advanced video equipment and editing software to create polished final products.Supervise the placement of scenery, props, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Edit raw footage to create compelling narratives, adding elements such as graphics, animations, and music to enhance the viewing experience.
- Review Film and Video footage to evaluate and select scenes, identifying which ones need to be re-shot.
- Create, plan, write scripts for, record, videotape, and edit program
- Determine lighting, camera angles, shutter settings, filter choices, camera distance, depth of field, focus, angles of view, and other variables to achieve the desired mood and effect.
- Plan and execute a strategic distribution plan to maximize reach. This includes selecting appropriate digital platforms (such as YouTube, Vimeo, and other international social media channels) and optimizing content for each to ensure maximum engagement and visibility.
- Track and analyze video performance using analytics tools to assess viewer engagement and the overall effectiveness of the video content. Use insights gained to refine and improve future video marketing efforts.
- Work closely with various stakeholders, including faculty, students, and alumni, to gather authentic testimonials and stories that can be featured in the videos, ensuring a diverse and genuine representation of the college community.
We expect you to have the relevant work experience and relevant Bachelor levelled qualification for this role.
