Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance and Commercial Business Partner to join our team. Reporting directly to the General Manager of the business, this role plays a crucial part in ensuring the financial health and Commercial success of our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and analytical tasks, with a primary focus on Business Partnering with operational stakeholders, project management support, and financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes;
• Partner with Project Managers to track project spend, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed within budget and timeline constraints;
• Provide analysis and reporting on project performance, highlighting areas for improvement and potential risks;
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, working closely with various departments to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals;
• Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimisation, revenue enhancement, and overall business improvement;
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making processes; and
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing clear and actionable insights.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the mining or related industry;
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting processes;
• Proven ability to partner with operational stakeholders and influence decision-making processes;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders;
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling tools; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus; and
• Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and the ability to think strategically.
