Finance Manager/Controller | High Growth Startup | Temp To Perm

Company Description:

The company is a newly formed organization, supported by strong shareholders and an impressive executive team. The Finance Manager/Controller will report directly to the CFO. A startup with High Growth potential- an exciting time to join the team!

This is an initial temporary contract position likely to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

· Timely completion of monthly accounting process and reconciliation of general ledger

· Preparation of monthly and quarterly accounts, reports and analysis to agreed timetable

· Ownership of ensuring all regulatory obligations (IAS, BAS PRT, FBT) calculated, lodged and paid within set timeframes

· Ownership of banking relationship

· Ownership of accounts payable/receivable to ensure timely review and processing of invoices, expense claims and credit cards

· Ownership of year-end financial audit process

· Technical analysis of accounting and tax issues in conjunction with external advisors

· Ownership of other related areas such as insurance, managing cashflow and drawdowns, managing payroll

· Build strong relationships with our advisors such as corporate tax, FBT, audit, outsourced accounting, IT managed service provider, insurance broker, banker and nurture these relationships to achieve business objectives

· Preparation of budgets and forecasts for Board approval (draft and final) including prepare calendar, prepare inputs and strong engagement with stakeholders to incorporate their inputs, assist with business plan

· Budget upload to General Ledger and reporting on actual to budget with commentary on variances

· Preparation of quarterly cashflow forecasts for cash management

Requirements:

· CA or CPA qualified

· Experience in a similar role, preferably in a small to mid-size business.

· Strategic and analytical mindset.

· Excellent relationship building and management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
