Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager, Sustainability to join our Planning, Reporting & Analysis Team located in our Sydney CBD, Castlereagh Street office.

The role

In this role, reporting to the Senior Manager, you will partner with business stakeholders to provide commercial and financial support, and consolidation and reporting on key initiatives to progress the growing focus on Sustainability and ESG.

This is a highly engaged role that will require you to apply data driven analysis and provide insights to enhance business decision making in line with our overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal customers / stakeholders, as trusted Finance Business Partner.
  • Responsible for scenario modelling, analysis, and insight, understanding key drivers, highlighting trends and identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Consolidation and reporting on key initiatives and the implications to our Long Term Plans and our actual performance
  • Analyse and interpret results to provide quality insight to senior stakeholders into factors influencing performance, and present recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Play an active role in maintaining a best-practice and continual improvement culture
  • Embed a culture of strong control and risk compliance ensuring adherence to Accounting Policies and internal controls.
  • Liaison with statutory reporting to ensure ongoing reporting obligations are met.

About You

We are looking for a Finance Manager with a genuine interest in Sustainability/ESG initiatives. You're recognised as a naturally curious individual with the desire to understand and effectively communicate the "WHY" behind the numbers . You will have extensive experience in developing and maintaining financial models to support strategic initiatives and decision making.

To be successful in the role, you will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in gathering timely, accurate, and relevant data and drawing meaningful conclusions from that data.
  • An autonomous self-starter who is solutions focused and demonstrates a high level of Commercial Awareness and personal accountability.
  • Strong analytics skills and commercial acumen, high level of attention to detail coupled with an ability to see 'bigger picture'
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and influence strong partnerships at all levels across the organization, including non-Finance stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification and CA/CPA/CFA accreditation is required
