AddressOur client is an award winning self-licenced advice firm in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. They are currently experiencing significant growth and are looking for a talented and experienced individual to join their high performing team.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this newly created role will see you take ownership and accountability for the company’s daily financial affairs, ensuring the financial operations are compliant with legal standards.
This is a part time opportunity and will suit someone who is seeking work place flexibility. Depending on your needs, the working hours of this role can be across 3 full days or 4/5 shorter days.
Specifically, this will role entail:
- Accounts Receivable and Payable: Manage the invoicing, brokerage and payment processes, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Reconciliations: Performing bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Statutory Reporting: Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), Payroll Tax and FBT in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reporting: Generate financial reports in accordance with operational, executive and board requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Liaison: working with staff, clients, suppliers and vendors to effectively manage the companies accounting requirements.
- Operations: Provide support to the Practice Manager with administrative and operational tasks as required
The Person
We are looking to have confidential discussions with mature minded candidates who enjoy variety, and are able to adapt quickly as business needs arise.
You must also have the following skills and attributes:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Educational qualifications across Accounting, Commerce, Finance or similar
- A financial planning or financial services background will be highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
