About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Finance News Presenter in our Perth newsroom. 

The right person will be interested in stock market and economic news globally and domestically.

They will be a mid-upper level journalist with strong scripting skills, able to deliver complex news in a concise and understandable manner. They will be comfortable and capable in presenting to camera.

They will contribute by performing interviews with ASX-listed company leaders and will contribute editorial articles.

Based in Perth CBD, this position could be either full time or part time.

Essential

• Journalism Degree or Cadetship
• Strong presentation skills and clear speech
• Willingness to learn and take feedback
• Passion for news
• Willingness to reliably work early shifts – 5am starts – and meet our Market Open bulletin deadlines
• Excellent grammar and competent script writing skills
• Competent understanding of ASX, business and finance news
• Strong work ethic, committed to quality productions

  Desirable 

• Passion for ASX, business and finance news
• Experience using WordPress
• Understanding of share trading
