The Role
The Finance department is an integral part of the Pepper team, providing a range of services and expertise in delivering robust infrastructure, analytics, and solutions to a fast-paced environment.
Based out of our North Sydney offices (hybrid), we're looking for a Financial Accountant to manage financial control and external reporting activities for Pepper Money's acquired brokerage business, Stratton Finance Pty Limited and its controlled entities. The role will also be responsible for Stratton Finance's financial reporting and tax compliance obligations and contribute to year-end procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of all accounting, reporting and reconciliation requirements of Stratton Finance
- Prepare assigned balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain necessary supporting documentation
- Accurate and timely processing of day-to-day financial transactions and month-end close activities
- Assist in the preparation of technical accounting papers
- Prepare statistical surveys for lodgment with ABS
This role will also gain exposure to accounting, reporting and compliance activities of the wider Pepper Money Limited business.
About you
- Degree in Accounting with (or working towards) CPA/CA
- Minimum 3 years relevant accounting and reporting experience
- Sound AASB reporting knowledge
- Understanding month end processes and reconciliations but also excited to improve on processes
- Intermediate level of excel skills
- Financial services experience - previous tenure at an ASX company desirable
