About the role:
We are on the lookout for our next Financial Analyst superstar to support our Performance Reporting team in Perth. This permanent, full-time role, will see you involved in a wealth of reporting, forecasting and financial performance management tasks, most notably, preparing timely and robust reports to assist our Trading and Portfolio Management Business.
Reporting to the Manager Performance Reporting, critical to the role’s success is the ability to develop positive relationships with senior stakeholders and fostering a team culture aligned to our One Alinta values. With such a broad range of stakeholders, you must be confident in your ability to build strong and trusted relationships whilst at times acknowledging the need to challenge the status quo.
Duties:
Prepare and maintain reports that monitor and record Key Performance Indicators (financial and non-financial) for operations, to assist in explaining business performance
Prepare reports to facilitate financial review of the business and undertake analysis of results
Deliver the planning cycle and process (Budget & Forecast) for Trading & Portfolio Management overheads in an accurate and timely manner, including General Manager and Executive reporting
Engage and liaise with stakeholders to understand key business drivers and underlying assumptions
Skills and experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification (Commerce, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering)
Ability to work in a team environment and effectively prioritise workload with competing deadlines
Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated
A commercial mindset with strong analytical/problem solving skills
Confident and articulate with excellent verbal/written communication skills
The role demands a strong focus on creating effective working relationships to achieve required outcomes and develop an understanding of key business drivers. A curious mindset and the confidence to ask questions and, at times, challenge the status quo will leave you in good stead for success.
