Job description

As a Financial Modeler, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of financial models that drive critical decision-making processes within the organization, specifically related to fee structures. Working with the finance team, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, conducting financial forecasting, and providing actionable insights to support strategic initiatives. This is a project-based position with a focus on delivering high-quality financial models. The duties include: 1. Develop comprehensive financial models to support various business functions, such as forecasting, financial planning, and analysis. 2. Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks or opportunities for school fee setting. 3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and validate assumptions used in financial models. 4. Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the potential impact of various decisions on revenue. 5. Generate accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations. 6. Monitor and evaluate financial performance, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and revenue generating opportunities. 7. Stay updated on industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact the financial models and forecasts. 8. Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested. Experience Qualifications● Mandatory: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, experience in working with large datasets and working capability with What-If Analysis (Scenario Manager, Goal Seek, Data Table) as well as Pivot Tables and Macros.● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.● Proven work experience as a Business / Financial Analyst or similar role, demonstrating expertise in financial modelling and analysis.● Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately.● Solid understanding of financial principles, concepts, and accounting practices.● Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in financial data.● Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.● Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.● Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a keen interest in continuous improvement and process optimization.● Experience in the Education sector is helpful but not mandatory.
