About the role
Join our team at Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation as the Financial Services Manager and contribute to the organisation's financial health and compliance. Responsibilities include providing financial advice, managing taxation reporting, overseeing accounting processes, supervising financial functions, contributing to budget management, maintaining accurate records, managing assets, drafting policies, supporting diversity initiatives, and ensuring compliance. The Financial Services Manager will have relevant qualifications, be detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and leadership skills.
What you will do
You'll be the backbone of financial operations, providing comprehensive accounting and financial advice, managing tax reporting, and overseeing accounting processes. Supervising financial functions, you'll ensure tasks are completed promptly and reconciliations are accurate. Your role extends to producing monthly financials, steering budget management, and driving process improvements. Ensuring compliance is key, as you manage month end and year-end accounts and oversee asset registers and management processes. You'll also lead a team, championing financial excellence from start to finish.
We are looking for a suitable applicant who:
- Holds CPA/CA membership or possesses relevant industry experience.
- Has a minimum of 3 years' senior accounting experience and is proficient in budgeting and cost accounting.
- Demonstrates proven leadership in team management.
- Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possesses advanced financial analysis skills, including Excel proficiency.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of business systems and processes, with a process-oriented mindset.
- Has demonstrated knowledge of business taxation requirements (GST reporting, PAYG, FBT, Superannuation).
- Exhibits excellent organisational and time management abilities.
