Fire Protection Designer - Project Engineer

Our client is a Tier one firm based in Brisbane with a substantially sized Building Services team. Due to a recent internal restructure and several internal promotions a new position exists for a Fire Protection Designer – 2IC to the National Team Leader.
Essentially, this role would be the first in Brisbane within this newly formed Fire team (now separate from hydraulics). The role involves a full range of duties including;

• Design and delivery of Wet and Dry Fire services
• Managing projects and deliverables
• Attending site inspections
• Managing and maintaining client relationships

The key fundamental of this role is your ability to produce solid designs (ideally using Revit), however this role would appeal to a designer who would like to expand beyond this and develop other skills including client and project management, coordination and being able to deliver a project from start to finish.
Working in this company you will have access to key QLD government blue chip projects (including hospitals to be delivered as part of the current QLD health portfolio of projects). Backing of a national and international network of highly respected and fully qualified “brains council’ of Fire Designers to help solve any problems you come across and the ability to transfer to other national or international offices down the track if you so desire.
Qualifications required

• Bachelor Degree qualification or Diploma of Fire Protection design (RPEQ or QBCC and/or Eligible)
• At least 8 years Design experience in Fire Protection systems and a working knowledge of Australian Standards.
• Great communication skills and organisational ability
