The Role
We are seeking a Fire Service Estimator to join our Sydney Fire Services team to assist with contract delivery on our clients based within the NSW branch.
As a Fire Service Estimator typically you will work closely with the Account Managers, Service Managers and Minor Works Managers prepare quotes coming out of defects and repairs identified during our routine inspections. Typical quotations could include quoting replacements of extinguishers, fire alarm system repairs, wet fire system repairs, periodical non-contractual servicing requirements.
Key Competencies
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- A broad ability to read diagrams, technical manuals, technical drawings, Australian Standards, operating instructions and awareness of Essential Safety Measures and associated standards and regulations.
- Experience pricing defect rectification works and repairs.
- Ability to work within a team and engage respectfully with all parties.
- An understanding of fire systems and building services and pricing repairs.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and office-based databases
- Be willing to undergo a national police background check
- Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
The successful applicant will be solution focused and have a solid understanding of the commercial fire protection industry.
