Medecs Learning is a leading statewide training provider in the disability, aged care, community, and health sectors. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and NDIS registered provider in community nursing care, we are committed to delivering high-quality training that makes a real difference in the community services sector in Tasmania. With approximately 150 client organisation partners and 9000 enrolments each year, we are dedicated to providing nationally accredited units, short course programs, and complex healthcare modules. Position Overview: We are expanding our team and seeking qualified and experiencedFirst Aid Trainers to join us. Casual and permanent part-time positions available in the Devonport, Launceston and Hobart regions. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with a talented and committed team that values making a positive impact in the community.

 

 

Qualifications & experience

 

  • Essential - Hold the national qualification TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment OR TAE40116 OR Equivalent
  • Essential - Hold the national units HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Essential - Experienced First Aid Trainer ( in a vocational setting would be ideal)
  • Preferred but not essential - training or working experience in the disability, aged care, community or health sectors
  • Essential -Current national police check (or willing to undertake)
  • Essential - Current working with vulnerable people check ( or willing to undertake)

 

 

 

Tasks & responsibilities

 

  • Delivery and assessment of accredited units HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Delivering high-quality first Aid training sessions face-to-face to diverse learners. All training resources provided.
  • Completion of student assessment records. Following established support systems.
  • Facilitating engaging and interactive learning experiences. Demonstrate, observe, and assess the use of a range of First Aid equipment.
  • Assess the competence of learners against national standards and regulations. Support learners to achieve competence as required.
  • Maintain professional communication with learners, other trainers and our client support team.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of training materials and resources
  • Ensuring compliance with national training standards and regulatory requirements. Full training provided.
