- Perform welding in accordance with approved weld procedures and codes;
- Interpret welding symbols to ensure correct welding techniques;
- Carry out basic maintenance of welding machine and equipment to keep a clean and safe work area; and
- Follow all workshop and site safety requirements.
- Sound knowledge of Welding, including piping and platework.
- Sound knowledge of Welding on Stainless Steel, Super Duplex, Alloy Nickel and Chrome Alloy.
- TIG/FCAW/GTAW welding experience, both manual and semi-automated.
- Trade Qualified.
- 5+ years’ trade experience, ideally in a Marine / Naval environment.
- Ensure all activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Able to identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions.
- Confined Space Entry and Working Safely at Heights.
- Elevated Work Platform
- Recognised training certification in rigging, dogging & forklift.
- Exciting and specialised projects.
- Secure, permanent full-time position with annual salary of $70,000-$85,000.
