First Class Coded Welder

IKAD Engineering is a proud Western Australian private company with a national and international footprint. We provide a broad range of Project Management and Engineering solutions across a wide variety of Industry Sectors including Defence, Industrial, Mining, Marine, Oil & Gas, and Water Technology.We are currently seeking applications for suitably qualified and experienced Welders with extensive Workshop/ Marine fabrication experience to join our great local team in Rozelle, NSW. The Role:You will possess a commitment to work as a team player, be adaptable to a changing environment, have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and be prepared to work overtime and in remote locations when required to carry out the following duties;

• Perform welding in accordance with approved weld procedures and codes;
• Interpret welding symbols to ensure correct welding techniques;
• Carry out basic maintenance of welding machine and equipment to keep a clean and safe work area; and
• Follow all workshop and site safety requirements.

The successful candidates must have previous workshop experience and be able to demonstrate the following essential personal attributes and skills:

• Sound knowledge of Welding, including piping and platework.
• Sound knowledge of Welding on Stainless Steel, Super Duplex, Alloy Nickel and Chrome Alloy.
• TIG/FCAW/GTAW welding experience, both manual and semi-automated.
• Trade Qualified.
• 5+ years’ trade experience, ideally in a Marine / Naval environment.
• Ensure all activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Able to identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions.
• Confined Space Entry and Working Safely at Heights.

• Recognised training certification in rigging, dogging & forklift.
