The Role

  • Fixed Term (up to December 2024), Part time (17.5 hours per week)
  • Level 7 - $47,707 to $52,128 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Fully Remote - Within NSW

As First Year Study Adviser, a key focus of your role will be to provide one-on-one tutoring within our Embedded Tutor Program. Embedded tutors empower students to succeed in their studies. Providing one-on-one feedback on assessments and supporting the other sessional embedded tutors working in their disciplines are key parts of this role. You will also be involved in various other duties to support increasing student retention and success in a specialised discipline.

This position will focus on supporting our undergraduate first-year nursing subjects and will support fully remote work from home options within NSW with occasional travel to campus as required.

To be successful you will have:

  • Recent relevant teaching or instructional experience including a demonstrated ability to engage with students from diverse backgrounds to achieve learning outcomes.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate initiative, work both collaboratively and independently, prioritise work and meet deadlines to produce high quality outcomes.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong technology skills to support a high-quality learning experience for students including utilising new online technologies as appropriate.
