The Opportunity
Our client Summit Power provides powerline hardware to contractors servicing the electrical, mining, agricultural, rail and construction industries. They are currently seeking a candidate who is mechanically minded, has a genuine interest in the industry and looking for a long-term role.
As a Fitter and Turner Apprentice at Summit Power you will be learning aluminium and steel fabrication, aluminium and mild steel welding, interpreting engineering drawings, cropping, punching drilling, grinding, sanding and polishing metals.
You will be using engineering workshop machinery including lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, power tools, hand tools and more.
Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Mechanical Fitter and Turner and earn your MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
This role is located in based in Albury, NSW.

Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machinery/tools
Willingness to learn and take direction
High level of initiative and excellent communication
Ability to complete Forklift training – this will be provided by Summit Power
Reliable vehicle and current driver’s licence
