Key Responsibilities for the role
You will be servicing a large variety of machines and equipment from a range of industries.
The type of work includes:
- Site service work on existing equipment including conditional monitoring and preventative maintenance
- New site installations of small and large scale machine/equipment builds
- New workshop builds
- Refurbishment work
- Fault finding and rectification works
- Assemble and install mechanical components and systems according to engineering specifications including bearings, pneumatics, conveyors, shafts and keys, gears and pulleys, belts and chains
- General machine building, refurbishment, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to carry out precise work.
- Operate and set up various machining tools to produce precision components
- Work would be both factory based and on site depending on the project. Site work will include maintaining, installing and commissioning equipment.
Skills & experience
- Possess the skills and knowledge to work independently to a high standard without extensive direction.
- Ideally 3 + years experience in a similar role, possibly looking for the transition to a team leader role.
- Excellent communication skills, happy to work on installations at client sites when needed, which may involve interstate travel.
- Pride in work and reputation with a respect for quality and a desire to impart that on others
- Australian recognised trade qualifications and certificates
- Proven skills and experience for the role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Industry knowledge and safe work practices / OH&S are essential
- Able to work as a member of a team
- Good communication skills
- Machine building experience advantageous, but not essential
