AddressDue to growth in our Business, we are looking for a Fitter to join our team at Baker & Provan.
Location: 9-11 Power St, St Marys NSW 2760 Our full-time, permanent position requires you to:
- Inspect, analyse and record critical mechanical information
- Interpret blue prints and work assignments to find out job, material and equipment requirements
- Sketch and accurately measure mechanical components to Set up and adjust metalworking machines and welding equipment (Large and Small Centre Lathes, Milling Machines, Radial - Drills, Shaper Machines, Horizontal and Vertical Boring Machines)
- Perform mechanical repairs, Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts manufacturing components as directed by the mechanical supervisor
- Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Perform mechanical fitting including the use of Gear reduction Units of all size and type, Fluid Couplings and Power Transmission Devices, Hydraulic Cylinders, Pump Impeller
- Rotating Assemblies, Conveying, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
- Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies, including welding or brazing parts
Skills and experience required:
- Relevant qualification at Cert III Level (at least 3 years of work experience can substitute qualification)
- Great attention to details and problem solving
- Good communication abilities
- Enjoy technical work
- Physically fit
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Training in Welding is preferable as well as Experience in hydraulic engineering
Salary offered: between $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 Only successful candidates will be contacted.
