Dermcare-Vet Pty Ltd is an Australian owned veterinary pharmaceutical company that develops medicated skin treatments for animals with allergies, skin disease and ear problems in Australia and overseas markets. We are seeking an experienced machine fitter that has extensive knowledge of fluid dynamics and pneumatic systems and has a high aptitude for fault finding and problem solving on automated equipment. Our plant machinery includes blending tanks, emulsifiers, filling, and labelling equipment. A large part of this role includes being involved in production batches in our GMP facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working in a safe manner with regard to yourself and other staff.
- Repairing and maintenance of used process equipment to operational level or modify to suit our needs.
- Documenting repairs and modifications.
- Documenting use and maintenance instructions and assist with validation activities.
- Operation of plant and equipment in accordance with procedures.
- Blending and packing of liquid/cream product batches.
- Set up and cleaning of manufacturing equipment.
- Adhering to facility cleaning requirements after each batch and additional monthly cleans.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Knowledge of and experience with the use and maintenance of process equipment, including blending tanks, emulsifiers, filling, and labelling equipment is essential.
- High aptitude for fault finding / problem solving on automated equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of pneumatic systems and fluid dynamics.
- A trade qualification would be very highly regarded.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic or FMCG industries.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing principles, particularly clean room gowning and behaviours.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) would be highly regarded.
- An understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- The ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
- Stainless steel welding/fabrication experience would be highly regarded.
- A current Forklift licence would be highly regarded.
- Computer literate and competent using with MS Office software, especially Outlook and Word.
