Our client is a global market leading manufacturer and supplier of various components, power units and systems to cater for the mining and industrial sectors.
Due to growth, we're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Fitters to join their workshop team. Within this role you will be based at the Newcastle branch and undertaking inspections, fault-finding, rectify problems on mechanical and hydraulic equipment, and keeping accurate records of all work undertaken.
The role:
- Conduct repairs within the workshop ready for install and commissioning on client sites.
- Review daily work orders and plan your day to ensure all jobs are resolved and completed.
- Provide an effective service by identifying system/requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing installation, performing acceptance tests.
- Follow troubleshooting steps in line with policy and product requirements/manuals.
- Document service and maintenance actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
- Trade qualified fitter or equivalent
- Competent level of hydraulic knowledge (favourable but not necessary)
- High focus on Quality and attention to detail
- Dynamic performer and achiever
- Planning and organisational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
