About the role
Working as part of the Maintenance Team and reporting to the Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for planned maintenance and breakdown repairs of all Fixed Plant equipment for the mining department. The equipment you will be overseeing includes materials handling systems, pumping stations, mine winders (personnel and production), primary ventilation and much more.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of Fixed Plant Electrical systems (surface and underground)
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely and efficient manner
- Install new electrical systems and components as required
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with other team members to optimise plant performance
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
- Occasional nightshift work is required once trained and competency requirements are met
- 8 month role with possibility of full time position.
The role will be offered on a fly-in, fly-out basis from Perth, working 7:7.
What You Bring
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
- Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work 7/7 FIFO roster ex Perth
- Willingness to learn and a keen attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
Requirements:
- WA A Grade electrical licence
- Manual drivers licence
- Construction white card
- LVR and CPR certification
- High risk work licence - EWP
Desired criteria:
- High risk work licence - LF Forklift
- High voltage switching HVO
- Open Cabler licence
- Familiar with 1SAP
