Rentco is an established & privately owned Heavy Transport Equipment Rental Company with branches conveniently located in all Australian States and Territories and we are currently recruiting in our Pinelands branch.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to work in our busy and growing rental operations team.
The rental operation is a fast-paced environment, offering short- and long-term rentals of a diverse fleet of trucks and trailing equipment, providing variety in your working day.
The role is based on a 38hr week Monday to Friday with additional weekends required on a rotational basis, flexible shift times, overtime available and reports directly to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Field inbound telephone enquiries
- Preparation of rental reservations
- Inspection of equipment - collections and returns
- Generating short term rental quotes
- Forging strong working relationships with our clients
- Recording missed rental opportunities and following up with clients
- Ensure compliance of cash and account clients in line with company policies
- Be compliant with all health & safety legislations
- Assist in other rental desk tasks as instructed by the branch manager
The successful candidate will possess the following
- A demonstrable experience in heavy transport equipment, rental experience will be considered a strong advantage.
- Computer literate – training will be given on our internal software rental system
- Strong attention to detail
- Friendly, confident, and outgoing personality
- Excellent organisation skills
- Ability to work in a close-knit team and work unsupervised
- Customer service experience is preferred
- A "Can do" attitude is essential
- Desire and commitment to working safely but efficiently
- Must be physically fit and healthy with ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug/alcohol screening
