Floor Finishing Apprentice { Launceston }

Mega Carpet Laying is currently seeking an enthusiastic, determined individual interested in completing a Floor Finishing Apprenticeship.  

You will have the opportunity to learn from our qualified lead installer and gain experience by carrying out a variety of duties to assist in all aspects of the flooring trade including removing existing floor coverings and installation of new carpet. 

Duties Include: 

• Preparing flooring surfaces 
• Installing and finishing carpet, resilient, vinyl and timber flooring materials 
• Staircases internal and external 
• Installation of Door Hardware, Skirtings, Architraves, Custom Trims and Sanitary Hardware 

Applicants must: 

• Be reliable & punctual. 
• Be keen to learn. 
• Be motivated with a genuine interest in learning the flooring trade.  
• Be happy to work in a physical job 

Preferred but not essential: 

• Driver’s licence and vehicle 
• White Card
