AddressBarilla Bay has a unique opening for a highly professional & organized individual to join our team for an immediate start as our FOH Supervisor with the opportunity of covering a 6-month maternity leave Event Co-ordinator contract. Working Full Time Thursday – Monday 38hrs per week, days & nights. No day will ever be the same getting to work for one of the most well renowned brands for selling and cultivating oysters here in Tasmania.
You will oversee daily operations while actively participating during service as a hands-on leader. You will supervise tasks and team members to ensure the highest quality of customer service is delivered to every guest for both our Restaurant and our functions & Events.
To be considered for this position you must possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the hospitality and event sector. You will have excellent administration skills, proven oral and written skills, be customer focused, a solid understanding of Food & Beverage operations and have experience in facilitating and executing events.
The Restaurant – You will be responsible for.
- Assisting the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operations
- Proficiency in computer POS system
- Hands-on in the Restaurant
- Support in training of new staff
As the Acting Event Co-Ordinator - You will be responsible for.
- Responding to all requests & proposals via email, phone or face to face
- Conducting site visits
- The delivery & execution of all events including weddings, corporate and social events.
- Liaising between all departments Kitchen, FOH & Administration
Experience and skills required
- Proven event sales & planning experience within the events industry
- Proven restaurant supervision or management or extensive experience in operations
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Sound knowledge of food & all beverages
- Friendly, honest and hard working
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role within the hospitality sector
