The Role
The successful candidates will be well-presented and contributing to the running of a successful Food Truck on a permanent full-time basis. This role will manage the day-to-day requirements of a café-like environment for New Horizons and the affiliating brands. On the job training will be provided for the successful applicants.
These roles will be based at the New Horizons' head office in North Ryde and several surrounding locations (as required), Monday to Friday with a possibility of some weekend shifts (as required) with work hours ranging between 6am-6pm.
Please note, all Baristas must have knowledge and at least one year's experience of preparing a variety of hot & cold drinks.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Customer Service (handling orders from & engaging with the local community of prospective customers)
- Money handling & stock take - reconciliation (balancing the cashflow - Eftpos & Cash)
- Café hot & cold drinks & food preparation as required
- Liaise daily and as needed with your manager about all menus, special events and business opportunities with the local community
- Promote the New Horizons brand to our customer base and reputation as a food truck/ café on wheels of choice.
- Oversee high standards of quality control across all our products and services
- Maintain a continuously clean, hygienic & well-presented environment
- One year's minimum customer service experience working in a fast-paced environment preferred but not essential
- Current & Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to handle conflicting priorities (orders & preparation) in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility is a must due to the changing locations & pace of the business
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment as well autonomously
- Salary Packaging up to $15,900 per annum
