- Pay rate $49+ p/h + super
- Located in Wacol QLD
- ASAP to 3 months assignment with potential to extend, pending business and performance requirements
About the role
As a Forensic Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in providing evidence-based treatment, habilitation programs, and person-centered support aimed at maximising our clients' quality of life, reducing re-engagement in offending behavior, and facilitating their transition back into the community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop, implement, and assess support plans to enhance clients' life skills and behaviors.
- Monitor and report on at-risk clients to the clinical team.
- Aid clients in achieving goals for community reintegration.
- Implement treatment programs for offending behaviors.
- Assist clients in personal routine development.
- Contribute to client assessments and transition plans.
- Prepare reports and maintain documentation.
- Ensure safety and security, responding to aggressive behavior.
- Demonstrate emotional resilience and perseverance.
- Support community access and Limited Community Treatment.
- Adhere to relevant legislation and procedures.
- Follow leadership direction.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support medication management.
About You
To thrive in this role, you need:
- Experience or qualifications in social work, psychology, or related fields.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Willingness to undergo comprehensive induction training.
- Certificate IV in Communities or approved equivalent, or ability to undertake a Certificate IV in Communities within a prescribed timeframe.
- Possession of a 'C' class driver's license.
- Possession of a current 'Provide First Aid' certificate, or ability to obtain one prior to employment commencement.
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
- Be able to pass and hold national police check.
